Rare entirely hand-painted and hand-decorated early 1900s Japanese porcelain ashtray with a centered match holder.  Remarkably fresh design includes medaillions, stylized pineapples(!), posies and scrolling vines. Moriage enamel bead decorations throughout the piece, and on the graceful handle. Marked in greeen "Hand-Painted Nippon" with the wreath mark by Morimura Bros. until 1921.
