Locally grown flowers and fruits picked nearby are rendered with tender warmth, often borrowing from the delicate aesthetics of Chinese ceramics and Southeast Asian batik fabrics. She works on high-quality art paper which she sometimes stitches together to add texture. Gabby trained as a ceramicist in New Zealand and has lived for many years in the UK. She now resides in Sydney, Australia.
