A beautiful, almost surreal image of Bolivia, presented as a diptych. Under the mentorship of Bolivian photographer Gastón Ugalde, Gray Malin shot this “Far Far Away” series in the largest salt flat in the world, Salar de Uyuni, which expands nearly 5,000 square miles and sits at 12,000 feet in elevation. The conditions are ideal for photography: the color temperature reaches an intense 7,000 kelvins, making all objects appear brighter than the eye normally sees. The image is presented in its raw form. This open form of photography lets the viewer enjoy the otherworldly beauty of the landscape.
