Why we love this

A striking and intriguing depiction of Ajax, a mythical Greek hero of the Trojan wars. This is an etching from the original plate drawn by Georges Braque, pulled circa 1975. Signed in the plate.
Regarded as one of the founders of Cubism, Braque was fascinated by the idea of "multiple perspectives." His work is held in museums around the world and he remains a true giant of 20th-century art.
