Pencil drawing of riders in a Southwest canyon by Frank Hoffman (1888-1958). Unsigned with papers authenticating as the work of Frank Hoffman. Hoffman illustrated for magazines including the Saturday Evening Post, Cosmopolitan and McCalls. He also worked on advertising campaigns for companies such as General Motors and General Electric. He traveled through Montana and spent time with the cowboys and native Americans he met. Finally he settled in Taos, New Mexico. His paintings and drawings are derived from these experiences. Frank Hoffman has 196 auction results, 28 book references, and his work is held in seven museums.
