A 1979 graduate of the University of California in aesthetic studies and fine art photography, I have spent many years photographing the California mountains and coast. I met Ansel Adams in 1979 at his Carmel studio and have been collecting California plein air paintings since 1986. I offer a wide variety of artists and genres and hope you enjoy my passion for paintings and sculpture.
Why we love this
Plein air beach scene with blooming succulents on a sunny afternoon in Carmel, California by Edna Vergon Richard (American, 1890-1985). A lifelong resident of California, Edna lived in Visalia, Pleasanton, and Carmel where she studied painting with Elizabeth Strong and Arthur Hill Gilbert. Her work includes coastal scenes, landscapes, and floral still lifes. Signed "Edna Vergon Richard" lower right. Display in a whitewashed wood frame and linen liner. Image, 16"H x 20"L.
