Italian born Domenica Grande grew up with the beauty of decors that mix and match pieces and esthetics of different eras. As an interior designer, she carried on that tradition while working on projects in stately Roman villas. Now in Miami, Grande is the owner of Nihil Novi, Latin for "nothing new," and is known for incorporating vintage objects and furnishings into contemporary interiors.

In the collection of MOMA's Department of Architecture & Design, the "Orbis" was designed in 1982 by Ron Rezek and is no longer in production.The counter-balanced, swing-arm pivots freely on a heavy cast aluminum base. Height below is at its maximum. Stainless steel reflector stem and takes 12V halogen lamp. The counter balanced lamp features a heavy cast base, incorporating the electronics with all pieces finished in black anodize and red enamel. Few micro chips on finish.
