Polychrome bowl made by Nellie Nampeyo (1896-1978), circa 1920. The bowl is an example of a second generation Sikyatki revival. Signed on underside. Nellie Nampeyo was the daughter of the most famous Hopi pottery maker, Nampeyo of Hano (1857-1942). Nellie followed her mother's example and was known for integrating ancient pottery designs into her pieces and developed her own style based on traditional designs from the past.
