Batten Road was born in the ‘70s when a crazed book-lover returned from college to work in Soho at one of the country's (world's??) most famous Art & Architecture bookstores. To feed the addiction (and rent), she quickly picked up two other jobs so the love affair with books need not end. Eventually, the addiction grew to hunting for wonderful decorative accessories, furniture, tabletop and lighting.
Why we love this
Paul Klee edited by Carolyn Lanchner. New York: Museum of Modern Art, 1987. First edition. 344 pages. 283 illustrations, 137 in color, plus 163 reference illustrations. Catalog from the major 1987 exhibition of the great modernist Klee. Other than light edge wear and small repaired tear to cover, this out-of-print book is like new.
