Why we love this
Oil on canvas painting by Lucien Potronat (French b. 1889). Potronat was known for his muted landscapes and marine subjects. He attended the Arts School in Avignon. He then moved to Paris and enrolled in the Julian Art School. Potronat was part of the minimalist movement which thrived on bright colors. He exhibited in numerous European Galleries including la Galerie Foche in Paris. This oil on canvas is signed lower right.
