Oil on canvas by William Henry Vernon. Vernon was an English artist born in 1820. He was part of the visual movement. In 1854 he moved to London where he opened his own studio on Bond Street. In 1857 he submitted works at the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of Artists. Become a member of the Scottish Royal Academy of Arts in 1865. He is very well known for his genre paintings. Signed lower left. Housed in its original frame.
