With a long and storied history, our gallery holds the distinction as the first publisher of Salvador Dali’s lithographs in America and has been among the foremost of the city's dealers in antique works on paper since its founding in 1928.
Why we love this
Original etching of a country house with two thatched huts. Hand-signed by Paul-Emile Lecomte (1877-1950). Published by the Paris Etching Society, which later became the Phyllis Lucas Gallery. Printed in France. Lecomte attended l'Ecole des Beaux-Arts. He was a member of the Salon des Artistes Francais and in 1902, one of his paintings won the Gold Medal. He was known for his landscapes, portraits, and seascapes.
