A pair of late 18th century Italian pricket candlesticks. They have the extensive front carving typical of this type of candlestick with an un-carved back having been made to sit on a table or altar which was against a wall. The coupon gilding is original and in a very good state of preservation. There is the minor typical foot damage, see photos. They were found near Milan.
