Antique Hand Carved Rococo Settee
A finely carved antique Rococo settee. The frame is hand carved and beveled throughout, decorated with trailing acanthus in high relief. The oval back is surmounted with an asymmetrical pierced acanthus shell and roses along the crest rail. A ribbon carved serpentine skirt mirrors the crest rail with a rocaille shell at the center. Cabriole legs with roses carved at the knees stand on scrolled whorl feet. Upholstered in a mustard silken damask finished with double welt.
