A 19th century Chinese altar is crafted from a chunky single board top with hand carved intricate details. The heavy and chunky top sits on four thick straight legs and is meticulously carved with motifs that are replicas of Chinese ancient architectural elements on both sides. The carved design of birds on either side is a sign of prosperity, the center panel features carved figures playing music, it has floral vines all around with its original painted patina.
