About The Brand

Artist and vintage curator Carmen Nash's nuanced design perspective comes from her spirituality and rich heritage, rooted in experiences as a black southern artist. Weaving these experiences into visual narratives that evoke beauty, emotion, and thought is the premise of her design practice that defines her brand Loft & Thought. The Folk & Flora Collection, an assortment of portables designed by Loft & Thought for Troy Lighting, is Carmen's artistic reimagining of her favorite folk art stories and belief that storytelling connects us to the objects we love.
