Why we love this
Resting on substantial silvery balls, this pretty basket with swinging twist handle is covered with flowers. English silversmiths in the latter half of the 19th century fashioned the flowers in relief through the use of embossing or repousse, as the French called it, named for the process of literally pushing the silver into shape from the reverse side. This basket is of course pristine and ready for use. 8.5 inches high with the handle in an upright position
